FindingHome was launched in December 2022 by Professor by Professor Marilyn Freeman, International Centre for Family Law, Policy and Practice, and The University of Westminster, London; Professor Nicola Taylor, University of Otago, New Zealand; and Professor Helen Stalford, University of Liverpool, England.
Since January 2024, Missing Children Europe hosts the website and is responsible for making sure children and parents know about it.
The Founders and Missing Children Europe sit together a few times a year to plan for the future of FindingHome and regularly consult children on their views.
Marilyn Freeman is Co-Director of the International Centre for Family Law, Policy and Practice (ICFLPP), Principal Research Fellow at The Westminster Law School, London, and chairperson of the International Association of Child Law Researchers (IACLaR).
Professor Nicola Taylor is Director of the Children’s Issues Centre in the Faculty of Law at the University of Otago in New Zealand.
Helen Stalford is Professor of Law and founder of the European Children’s Rights Unit, School of Law and Social Justice, University of Liverpool, UK
